Re: Prompt #327

You have restored my faith in April Fool's Day (internatinal date line notwithstanding). I was just having a grump about how all the fake news and bullsh*t on the internet had rendered April Fool's Day a bit passe. I hadn't even bothered with any pranks this year, but I feel a bit better about it now.

Re: Other Shows You Watch

Just finished binge-watching all three seasons of The Borgias (the one with Jeremy Irons in it). I probably wouldn't have bothered except that I did some research on Pope Alexander VI for a short fic where it all boiled down to one passing comment. I saw the DVDs on a clearance table at Sanity, and ...

Re: Gatchamania's Back

I was starting to wonder if maybe the host was rejecting overseas IPs or something. You never know where foreign IPs have been, after all. Mine's probably got bird poo all over it.

In any event, the host appears to be letting me access the site again today.

Re: Prompt #236

Zoltar staggered. His head was pounding and his vision was blurring. The meeting with his generals had been particularly annoying, but he couldn't quite remember precisely what it was that had annoyed him. It was probably, he mused irritably, just a general sense of generals being generally annoying...

Re: RIP Scout the Fennec Fox

Sorry to hear that he's passed away. Some animals have a personality which is way bigger than their physical bodies. Still, Dro made the ethical decision to let Scout go once he could no longer give him quality of life. It's a hard decision to make, but it was the right one. Having said that, I'm we...

Re: Prompt #325

The G-Force team stalked through the carnage that had been the entrance to the Spectra base. Many of the occupants had been caught in the blast as they fled, dying within metres of survival. They lay, still and silent in the shadow of the Phoenix , blood staining the green and brown uniforms, blood ...

Re: The Gatchamania Yo-yo

Ken had been exploring the (mostly) repaired Gatchamania.net site and was pleased to see how well most of it was functioning. There were no goons of any stripe to be found outside of the fic library and fic threads, and Cep had reported that everything was functioning nominally and well within toler...

Re: Name That Bird

So far, so good. Tatsumaki's fracture has stabilised, he has been having the bird version of physiotherapy and he has now been moved out of the hospital box and into the Stage 2 enclosure, a nice shady aviary that also houses all my fruit trees and the herb garden. All the plants are in large tubs s...
